Job summary

Douglas Scott Global Recruitment is assisting a national Legal 500 firm to appoint a Catastrophic Injury Team Leader (remote-based). You will lead and develop a team of fee earners handling high-value catastrophic injury claims, including brain and spine injuries.

The role offers hybrid or fully remote working, with a salary of £70,000–£90,000 plus pension, private healthcare, life assurance and wellbeing days; 8+ years PQE and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified solicitor or Fellow of CILEX with right to litigate and 8+ years PQE.
• Extensive experience in personal injury and catastrophic injury cases over £3m value.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience and ability to mentor others.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Catastrophic Injury Team Leader (Remote based role)

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes in complex, high-value personal injury cases? My client is a national, Legal 500 firm who is going through a period of expansion and growth. As a result they are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join their Catastrophic Injury division and play a key role in shaping the success of the business and their clients. This role can be hybrid or fully remote.

About the Role:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Fee Earners handling catastrophic injury claims, including cases involving serious brain injury, spinal injury, and life-changing trauma. You will drive performance, ensure technical excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of fee earners to achieve high performance and quality standards
• Oversee complex catastrophic injury cases, providing technical guidance and support
• Monitor and manage team KPIs, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded
• Promote a client-centric approach, ensuring outstanding service delivery at every stage
• Identify training needs and support professional development within the team
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and process improvements within the department
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEX with right to litigate with over 8+ Years PQE.
• Proven experience in personal injury law, with strong exposure to catastrophic injury cases valued over £3m
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong technical expertise and the ability to mentor and develop others
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
