William James Recruitment is seeking a talented Complex Injury Associate for a hybrid role in Manchester. You will manage a varied caseload of serious injury matters, including multi-million-pound claims, working with insurers and high-value litigation on a national level.

The candidate should have solid experience in catastrophic injury, a good understanding of Civil Procedure Rules, and strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Commercially aware with a proactive and strategic approach to case handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex injury and large loss claims from inception through to resolution.
• Handle serious and life-changing injury matters, including multi-million-pound claims.
• Conduct detailed investigations into liability, causation and quantum.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and other legal documents.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Attend conferences, mediations and court hearings as required.
• Work with partners and senior lawyers on complex high-value litigation.
