Job summary

Cummins Emissions Solutions in Darlington is seeking a Catalyst Performance & Integration Placement Student for Summer 2027, supporting VPI processes and test activities.

You'll work with MATLAB, Simulink, AVL Boost, and collaborate with Test Operations, with training provided in diesel engine and aftertreatment topics.

This placement offers exposure to a global organization and practical experience across the development cycle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or STEM.
• Strong Matlab knowledge and MS Office proficiency.
• Methodical, data-driven problem-solving with teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Support VPI process: catalyst selection, performance evaluation, mapping and PoC testing.
• Assist with procurement and shipment of parts between test facilities.
• Collaborate with Test Operations to produce test instructions and analyze data.
• Support catalyst hardware design reviews and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.
