Job summary

Ward Assistant at Royal Stoke Hospital, part of Sodexo Ltd, will deliver meals and a positive experience to patients, staff and visitors. You will maintain high hygiene standards, transport trolleys, and support ward operations with professional, compassionate service.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient and professional catering service on wards, communicating effectively with colleagues and ward staff.
• Complete daily documentation accurately and in line with required schedules, procedures and standards.
• Safely transport and deliver food and beverage trolleys to wards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across ward kitchens, pantries and catering work areas.
• Ensure catering equipment is safe, clean and in good working order, completing routine cleaning and maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
