Job summary

The Laurus Trust is seeking a reliable Trust Performing Arts Technician on a casual basis to support drama, music and other performance activities across our schools.

As a Trust Performing Arts Technician, you will help with set design and stage construction, provide lighting, AV and technical support for events, assemblies and performances, and assist with curriculum delivery within the Performing Arts Departments across Laurus Trust schools.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent, plus at least 2 A-levels.
  • Knowledge of stage lighting, sound, video recording/editing, music technology, and AV equipment.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality support and technical production services for drama, music and other performance activities across Laurus Trust schools.
  • Assist with design and build of sets for shows, workshops, exams, performances and promotional events.
  • Provide lighting, AV and technical assistance for events, assemblies and performances.
  • Support the delivery of courses and performances within Performing Arts Departments across Laurus Trust schools.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Trust Performing Art Technician to join our team at the Laurus Trust on a casual basis.

As a Trust Performing Arts Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the creative and technical aspects of our Performing Arts provision across the Trust. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Set Design & Stage Construction: Assisting with the design and build of sets for shows, workshops, exams, performances, and promotional events.
  • Technical Support: Providing lighting, AV, and technical assistance for events, assemblies, and performances.
  • Curriculum Support: Supporting the delivery of courses and performances within the Performing Arts Departments across Laurus Trust schools
