Job summary

St Andrew’s Academy in Derby (two sites) is seeking Casual Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at a specialist school supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties and additional needs. Multiple casual positions available across our two campuses.

You will work with experienced teachers to support pupils’ learning, communication, personal development and day-to-day needs in a safe, inclusive environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Be caring, patient and compassionate, with a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
• Provide positive and practical support to pupils within the classroom and wider school environment
• Assist with learning activities and encourage pupils to develop their independence and confidence
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Support pupils with their individual needs and learning programmes
• Promote a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
• Work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive team
