Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking Relief General Kitchen Assistants to work on a casual, as-needed basis across the Anston, Dinnington, Thurcroft Area.

The role is term-time with 10-15 hours per week, mainly lunchtime, at £13.45 per hour. Applicants should have Level 2 Food Safety and a proactive approach to cleanliness and customer service. You will join a friendly catering team delivering meals to children in local schools.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to complete training.
• Positive, reliable team player with good customer service.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Clean kitchen areas, equipment and preparation rooms.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of school kitchens.
