Job summary

COOK in Chichester is seeking a Casual Retail Team Member to join our shop team. You will welcome customers, discuss menus and offers, ensure the shop stays clean and well-stocked, and handle till operations with accuracy.

Experience in retail or customer-facing roles is helpful, and training on COOK products will be provided. Casual hours and a focus on community presence make this an engaging role in a busy high-street store.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service, prioritising the customer.
• Advise on menus, catering for occasions, and promotions.
• Keep the shop immaculate, stock rotated and freezers full.
• Operate the till efficiently and accurately.
• Understand shop paperwork and legal checks.
• Open/close the shop and perform end-of-day reconciliation.
• Check deliveries and assist with stock takes.
• Wear apron and name badge at all times.

Pay rate :£13.45 Per Hour

Join Our Retail Team! There’s more to COOK than food: our shops play active roles in the communities they serve and that’s thanks to the warmth, knowledge and care of our Retail Team. We’re looking for remarkable people to join us who can host customers in the shop just like they would at home.

The Role

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions. Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products and promotions.
• We are a food business – make sure the shop always looks immaculate, clean and spotless, stock is replenished and rotated, and the freezers are full.
• Be a whizz on the till. Operate it efficiently and accurately.
• Understand the shop paperwork, necessary legal checks and their purpose.
• Open up the shop. Close the shop,End-of-day reconciliation
• Check in deliveries and placing orders, assist with stock taking as required.
• Look smart with apron, and name badge on at all times.

Good to Have

If you are a foodie then great, but we will train you to know our products, including how and where they are made, and to understand what dishes suit which occasions.

Experience not necessary but previous experience of working in Retail or in a customer facing role would be the icing on the cake.
