Casual Restaurant Bar Supervisor

The Royal Windsor Racecourse is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking, and driven Bar Supervisor to work in their prestigious fine dining 1866 restaurant during all racing events.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Catering and Retail Manager and assist in the operation of the restaurant, hospitality, and bar areas.
• Serve customers efficiently, professionally, and courteously.
• Lead by example in all aspects of the business.
• Build strong relationships with guests and staff.
• Continuously strive to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a positive, 'can do' attitude.
• Advise guests and staff on available products within the venue.
• Assist in training and developing staff to high standards.
• Process orders and payments in line with Racecourse procedures.
• Close tills according to company policies.
• Keep accurate temperature records and complete relevant paperwork.
• Follow all licensing policies and procedures.
• Handle cash, stock, and equipment securely.
• Provide information to customers.
• Record wastage and dispose of rubbish following venue policies.

Criteria:

• Experience in a high-end food and drinks or restaurant sector is essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Experience in cash handling and billing procedures.
• Personal Licence Holder (preferred but not essential).
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to maximize sales and suggest improvements.
• Drive operational standards and attention to detail.
• Proficient in IT.
• Integrity and honesty in work.
• Experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential.
