Job summary

Driverz Work in Wembley is seeking PCV Driver on a casual, zero-hours basis to provide safe home-to-school transport and related duties. You may operate passenger lifts and assist the Passenger Assistant as required.

The role requires a D licence with minimal points, a CPC card, and willingness to undergo DBS checks and a D4 medical. Expect a supportive team with on-site parking and pension eligibility after three months.

Qualifications

• Hold a full, unrestricted D driving licence with auto restrictions acceptable and up to 3 penalty points.
• Possess a CPC qualification card with up-to-date mandatory training.
• Have or be willing to apply for a DVLA Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum two years’ experience driving a bus or coach.
• Be prepared for a DBS check and hold a current D4 medical report.

Responsibilities

• Operate the vehicle safely, following road rules and reporting fines promptly.
• Carry out mandatory vehicle checks before each trip and report defects.
• Secure all passengers and wheelchairs correctly using safety equipment.
• Ensure adequate fuel and refuel as needed or directed.
• Clean the vehicle interior and exterior regularly, weekly at minimum.
• Remove or adjust seating as required for passenger needs.
• Park the vehicle in depot bays as allocated and correctly.
• Operate passenger lift and assist passengers entering/exiting safely.
• Communicate with passengers in a patient, informative manner and support the Passenger Assistant.
