Hand Picked Hotels is seeking a Casual Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel in Brockenhurst. The role supports the kitchen team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and smooth daily operations, with a baseline of £13 per hour plus service charge and benefits.

You will work with the Head Chef and brigade to keep dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and back-of-house areas well-presented, while assisting with basic prep and stock deliveries as needed. This casual role offers flexible hours.

Known locally as the 'Jewel in the Forest', Rhinefield House is an award-winning luxury hotel steeped in natural beauty, hidden deep within the New Forest National Park. Rhinefield House is proud to be the only AA four red star hotel in the New Forest. The hotel has 50 bedrooms, including three feature suites, an outdoor pool, a small health suite and a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant & bar. It is a popular wedding and Afternoon Tea venue with beautiful gardens and grounds.

What will the role involve?

The role of Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel is essential in supporting the delivery of an exceptional dining experience by ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade, the Kitchen Porter plays a key role in maintaining a smooth day-to-day kitchen operation.

As Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will centre around maintaining immaculate hygiene standards across all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, cleaning of equipment, and ensuring all back-of-house areas are organised and well-presented. You will support chefs by ensuring that equipment, utensils, and service items are clean, available, and ready for use at all times.

The role also involves assisting with basic food preparation when required, monitoring waste disposal, adhering to strict health and safety and food hygiene regulations, and supporting stock organisation and deliveries. You will contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen, helping the team deliver a seamless service while upholding the hotel’s standards of excellence in luxury hospitality.

This is a casual role where hours may vary depending on business.
