Hand Picked Hotels in Brockenhurst, Hampshire is seeking a Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel & Spa to support the kitchen brigade, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure smooth operation.

You will work five days out of seven, 40 hours a week, with a starting rate of £13 per hour plus service charge, and benefit from meals, uniform, parking, and career development opportunities in a luxury hospitality setting.

What will the role involve?

The role of Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel & Spa is essential in supporting the delivery of an exceptional dining experience by ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade, the Kitchen Porter plays a key role in maintaining a smooth day-to-day kitchen operation.As Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will centre around maintaining immaculate hygiene standards across all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, cleaning of equipment, and ensuring all back-of-house areas are organised and well-presented.

You will support chefs by ensuring that equipment, utensils, and service items are clean, available, and ready for use at all times.The role also involves assisting with basic food preparation when required, monitoring waste disposal, adhering to strict health and safety and food hygiene regulations, and supporting stock organisation and deliveries. You will contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen, helping the team deliver a seamless service while upholding the hotel’s standards of excellence in luxury hospitality.

This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business.
