Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Casual Driver in the United Kingdom. The role involves delivering fresh milk on rural and motorway routes, with a focus on timely deliveries and safety.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, stay in touch with the transport team, and participate in ongoing training. The position is zero-hours, casual, with no guaranteed weekly hours. The company offers a competitive hourly rate and various employee benefits, including discounts and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• A minimum of 6 months' HGV driving experience.
• Milk tanker experience would be an advantage, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Thrive under deadlines and work efficiently.
• Be a confident, polite, and collaborative team player with good route knowledge.

About the Role

As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will:

• Take on the fulfilling task of delivering fresh milk to the dairy, ensuring every delivery is made with care and precision.
• Engage in a variety of driving experiences, from mostly rural routes through scenic countryside to motorway journeys.
• Ensure timely deliveries and collections, meeting our client's requirements and maintaining high standards.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• A minimum of 6 months' HGV driving experience.
• Experience with milk tankers would be an advantage, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
