Job summary

Liverpool Football Club is seeking a Casual Goalkeeping Coach to support the LFC Foundation’s Girls Pathway and Football Development Programme. You will design and deliver goalkeeping sessions, work with the team to promote safe, fun and high-performance coaching, and contribute to a positive culture within the training group.

The role includes evenings, weekends, and holidays across Merseyside, with DBS and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young athletes in a football environment.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience in coaching and developing players.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of goalkeeping concepts across women’s, girls’ and boys’ pathways.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goalkeeping provision that complements the football programme.
• Design and deliver goalkeeping sessions for individuals and groups.
• Work with physiotherapist to support activation / prehab programme.
• Maintain facilities and records for players and coaches.
• Communicate with parents about goalkeeping development and injury prevention.
• Advise staff on player needs and participate in case meetings.
• Embed goalkeeping outcomes in sessions and coach education.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare are operational priorities.
