Job summary

Millennium Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant for Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill–Dudley. You’ll be part of our busy restaurant and bar team, delivering warm, friendly service and helping guests enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner service.

Flexible shifts, morning and/or evening availability, and the ability to handle payments (Micros knowledge helpful) are essential. Competitive hourly rate, staff meals, and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy beverage service position is preferred.
• Attentive, professional customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a large team.
• Experience processing payments; Micros experience advantageous.

We are looking for dynamic individuals that put great customer service at the heart of everything that they do. We currently have a number of contracts available so are happy to discuss flexible working to suit both you and the needs of the business...*Our guests stay 7 days a week so we do need someone who is available to work a variety of shifts.

As a Casual Food and Beverage team member, your main duties will be:

• The service of food and beverage products in the restaurant, working within the bar, breakfast or evening restaurant team, or Meetings & Events working weddings, functions and other events
• Being able to confidently communicate all our food and beverage offerings available to customers.
• Accurately dealing with all payment transactions (cash, card and room charging) in the correct manner according to company guidelines.
• Providing a warm and welcoming service at all touch points with the guests ensuring that any queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a busy beverage service position is requested
• Attentive, professional customer service skills
• The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a big team
• Experience of processing payments (experience of Micros would be advantageous)
• As the position covers breakfast or dinner service the employee would need to be available for morning and/or evenings to ensure seamless service for each guest

About the Hotel

Located in the heart of the Black Country, the Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill–Dudley sits peacefully overlooking the picturesque Canal Marina. The hotel offers 138 modern guest rooms that combine Standard, Club and Suite accommodation. Faraday’s Restaurant is a modern and relaxed place to dine with a backdrop of the beautiful Canal Marina.

The Earls Suite can cater for up to 600 guests and comes complete with a private entrance, reception, bar and cloakroom. All rooms feature audio-visual equipment and have Wi-Fi connectivity.
