Job summary

The Devonshire Group is seeking a friendly, customer-focused team member to join our farmyard. You will deliver excellent visitor service, assist with animal care, and help maintain the adventure playground with safety in mind. This casual role may involve delivering demonstrations to educational groups.

Applicants should be friendly and approachable, comfortable around animals, and able to work as part of a team. A DBS check is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

• Confident around animals; farmyard experience is advantageous.
• To support safeguarding, a DBS check is required.

Job description

You will work as part of a friendly team and your responsibilities will include; providing excellent customer service to our visitors, supporting the team in providing high standards of animal care, in addition to taking an active role in maintaining the adventure playground whilst being mindful of safety issues.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will also have the opportunity to assist with the delivery of interesting demonstrations and talks to groups of people and children on educational visits.

You will need to be friendly and approachable, able to provide excellent customer service and work well as part of a team. You will also need to be confident around animals, ideally with previous knowledge and experience of working with farmyard animals being advantageous. A current driving license is desirable.

This is a casual role working on an as and when required basis, the Farmyard is open 7 days a week, including bank holidays.
