As a Family Engagement Worker, you will be part of the Pact Family team, providing family casework support to prisoners and their families. Your responsibilities will include offering advice and guidance, facilitating prison visits, and delivering family induction sessions.
To succeed in this role, you should have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with families in challenging multi-agency environments, preferably involving prisoners and their families. You should be able to advocate for families dealing with imprisonment, promoting their human rights and ensuring their needs and views are considered at all levels. Developing referral pathways for families, prisoners, and professionals to access services is also essential.
You may have experience in casework, key working, and providing advice, guidance, and emotional support to male service users.
You are expected to act as a role model for volunteers and an ambassador for PACT, maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability. The role requires being solutions-focused, adaptable, flexible, emotionally resilient, and capable of managing multiple tasks in high-stress environments.
A driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
