Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking friendly, passionate Breeze Event Workers to support Halloween and Christmas events at Lotherton Hall. Roles include event site staff, performers, entertainers, and crafts delivery for children and families.

Casual pool posting; many shifts across evenings and weekends. Experience with young people or families, teamwork, and the ability to motivate participation in arts and crafts are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or families.
• Experience of working within a team setting.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young people to participate in arts, crafts and cultural activities.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people individually and in groups at all appropriate levels.
• Ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• To assist in the delivery of Halloween & Christmas events at Lotherton
• To work with and build relationships with young people while in character and encourage them to participate in arts, crafts, and the experience in general as a whole.
• To work as part of a team
• To report to and liaise with the Breeze Team and other nominated staff.
• To assist with administrative tasks to support programme delivery eg checking tickets, answering visitor queries, and stock checking
• To assist with the physical build of infrastructure at the events.
• To supervise young people's safe use of equipment and engagement with activities
• To carry out the above duties in compliance with Council policies including Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health and safety and where appropriate, National Governing Body Codes of Conduct
