Job summary

Salford Council is recruiting Casual Cleaners for multiple posts across the City of Salford. Hours are variable and depend on service requirements. You will work in schools and other buildings within a defined area, performing cleaning, buffing, sweeping, vacuuming and related duties.

Pay is £13.65 per hour plus 12.07% holiday entitlement. A DBS check is required, with the cost (£49.50) deducted from the first four months' salary (£12.38 per month).

About the role

We have multiple posts available at various locations throughout the City of Salford. The hours are variable, subject to service requirements. Pay is £13.65 per hour, plus 12.07 % of your hourly rate of pay holiday entitlement. As a Casual Cleaner you will work in various schools and non-educational buildings within a set area of the city. Duties will include cleaning, buffing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning and other general domestic cleaning duties.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
