Job summary

Walsall Council is recruiting casual cleaners to join the pool covering schools, libraries and council offices across the Walsall Borough. You will clean and maintain surfaces, mop, polish and vacuum, following health and safety guidelines.

The role is non-contractual and hours are allocated on an as-needed basis to cover leave and peak cleaning periods. We offer competitive pay at £13.48 per hour, uniforms and access to training.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and reliable; able to work independently and use initiative.
• Willingness to train in safe use of cleaning chemicals and machinery.
• Non-contractual casual pool basis; hours allocated as needed to cover leave and peak cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment following health & safety requirements.
• Mop, polish and vacuum to maintain cleanliness.
• Cover premises across the Walsall Borough including schools, libraries, and council offices.
