Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. in Bridgwater is seeking a professional Casual Class 1 Driver to support multiple contracts, including shunting, tanker, curtain-side and refrigerated trailer work. The role involves flexible shifts, nights out occasionally, and covering holidays and sickness to ensure reliable service.

You will handle loading/unloading, vehicle safety checks, and work with the transport team to meet customer expectations. A UK CPC, Tachograph Card, and full UK LGV1 licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence and DCPC Card.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card is required.
• Experience delivering loads to client sites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shunting and yard duties including positioning empty trailers.
• Transport loads between trailer park, production areas and loading bay.
• Unload refrigerated vehicles and manage up to several daily deliveries.
• Operate curtain-side or flatbed trailers and handle palletised loads with pump trucks.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and communicate with transport team.
