Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to support bereaved families at Northern Cemetery. The role involves flexible, ad-hoc hours across days, evenings and weekends with on-site duties and a strong emphasis on health, safety and inclusive service.

The successful candidates will work in a respectful environment, with training provided and opportunities to contribute ideas for service improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, cemetery or bereavement services is desirable but not essential.
• Good practical skills, attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and safe working practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, funeral directors, contractors and members of the public.
• Willingness to develop knowledge and skills across all aspects of cemetery operations.
