Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our team at one of our key sites in Burton. You will assist with food preparation, sandwiches and light meals, and deliver friendly customer service in a busy kitchen setting.

The role supports a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and clients, with casual hours and flexible scheduling across various days. Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen assistance, food preparation, hospitality or customer service; catering experience is advantageous.
• Reliable, positive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision.
• Well presented with a strong focus on personal hygiene and professional standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, light meals and snacks.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Restock food, supplies and service areas before, during and after meal periods.
• Complete dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness while supporting smooth daily operations.
