Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an enthusiastic Casual Breakfast & After School Activity Leader for Tiger Primary in Maidstone. The role involves mornings and afternoons, with a break in between, to create fun, safe, and engaging activities for children aged 4–11.

You’ll lead activities, supervise groups, and help with snack times. A positive attitude, energy, and a passion for childcare are essential; DBS checks are part of safeguarding procedures. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is highly desirable.
• DBS and safeguarding awareness are important for this role.
• Ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting activities and games for children aged 4–11.
• Set up play spaces and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Supervise and support children with energy and care.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly approach.
• Work split shifts mornings and afternoons, with a mid-day break.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 8:45am & 3:15pm - 6pm (friday 5:30pm)
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Contract: Casual Contract

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, perfect for work-life balance or those seeking part-time fun!
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone who loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude

• A team player who’s also confident running activities and managing a group
• Bonus points if you have experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work (but not essential, personality goes a long way!)
