Job summary

Chorley Leisure Ltd in Chorley is seeking an engaging Casual Assistant Swimming Teacher (Level 1) to join our team and support the Level 2 Swimming Teachers in delivering water-based lessons for all ages.

You will possess either a Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) or STA Level 2 Award, be committed to safety, and contribute to a positive learning experience; DBS check applies and free use of gym/swimming facilities is included.

Qualifications

• Must hold Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) or STA Level 2 Award.
• DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Level 2 swimming teachers with delivery of in-water lessons.
• Provide teaching points to swimmers to support development.
• Act as a role model and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.

Role: Casual Assistant Swimming Teacher (Level 1)

Salary: 14.20 per hour

We're looking for an engaging and supportive Assistant Swimming Teacher to join our team to help create exceptional experiences for our learners. You'll support our Level 2 Swimming Teachers delivering lessons for Chorley Leisure Limited.

You will possess either a Swim England (SE) Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) or Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming.

What you'll be getting up to

• As an ambassador for Chorley Leisure Ltd, you'll support the Level 2 Swimming Techers with the preparation and delivery of lessons from in the water to help build water confidence, develop strokes and aquatic skills for all members of the programme, whilst ensuring a safe environment is maintained.
• You'll provide relevant teaching points to swimmers to support their development.
• You'll be a role model and ambassador for all swimmers whilst ensuring they receive quality swimming lessons and have a positive experience.

Who we're looking for

• You'll be able to work well in a team and be able to follow company policy and procedures.
  You'll have good technical knowledge and the ability to display accurate in water demonstrations.
  You'll be able to communicate effectively with all swimmers and have the ability to manage and motivate them effectively.

Other requirements

• Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
• As a part of team Chorley, you'll have free use of all our gym/swimming facilities.
