Job summary

Places for People is seeking an Assistant Swimming Teacher to support swimming lessons for all ages under the guidance of the Swimming Teacher. You will help learners build skills and confidence in the water, possibly overseeing a small group and ensuring safety and progression throughout each session.

Ideally, you will hold a Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent, with experience or willingness to assist in children's classes and a collaborative approach to team teaching.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification, or equivalent.
• Good with children and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults.
• Help learners develop skills and confidence in the water under supervision.
• Assist in managing small groups during lessons.

More about your role

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults. You'll work closely with the Swimming Teacher in supporting swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons, you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill, under the direction of the Swimming Teacher

• Experience at assisting in swimming teaching/ children's classes.

Technical / professional qualifications:
