Here at Shropshire Leisure Community Trust our goal is to encourage active, healthy lifestyles in an environment that is safe, warm, clean, friendly and fun. To be the destination of choice for being part of an active community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for Swimming Teachers to join our team.
By following the tried and tested Swim England learn to swim framework we develop the confidence in all of our swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even to represent our country.
Teaching our swimming lessons will see you delivering safe fun and progressive lessons for our baby and pre-school customers. This is also a mindset we take towards our teachers' careers and personal development. We offer flexible teaching hours around your current commitments and provide safeguarding and DBS checks at no cost to you. You will have access to training and development through our in-house Aquatic Training Academy and CPDs, with opportunities to progress into management or other areas in the business. All teachers receive a free centre membership (and one for a friend or family member).
A place you can make an impact: Swimming not only makes people healthier and happier, it teaches a life skill. As a teacher you will be at the forefront of helping people develop those skills.
A place you can count on: Our swimming teachers are integral to the running of our centres, with opportunities to progress into aquatics coordination or other centre management roles in one of our 55 facilities.
A place for you: Teaching can bring a great sense of accomplishment as you watch people progress and work with your local community. We support you with ongoing training and development.
