Job summary

Grafters Recruitment Consultants Ltd is seeking a Credit Control Officer in Eastbourne to improve cashflow, reduce bad debt and maintain financial stability while delivering best-in-class customer service. You will own the residential credit control process for credit-billed and prepayment customers, and assist with processing and reconciliation of incoming payments.

With daily customer contact, you will handle difficult conversations with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with empathy over the phone.
• Excellent numeracy and analytical abilities.
• Experience in credit control or debt collection is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential credit control process to collect debts on time.
• Negotiate repayment plans with customers in difficulty.
• Carry out weekly account balance reviews and monitor compliance.
• Produce monthly aged debt reports and support debt-reduction targets.
• Assist with processing and reconciliation of incoming payments.
• Support the wider billing and finance team as required.
