Job summary

Vaultex UK Ltd, located in Kilmarnock, is seeking a cash processing operative to support secure and efficient handling of cash consignments. The role involves heavy lifting, long standing periods, and adherence to all procedures to prevent loss and ensure customers are credited correctly.

Mon-Fri, 07:00-14:30, 35 hours per week. Salary around £24,567 per year with a comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed note sorting machines and related equipment.
• Accurately process incoming/outgoing cash consignments.
• Wrap, strap, weigh and pack cash by denomination.
• Ensure documents and vouchers are correct and present.
• Identify cash discrepancies and report to supervisor.
• Meet customer processing deadlines and balance daily cash.
• Maintain clean, secure workspace and follow waste procedures.
• Perform rolling daily duties as required by leadership.

Monday to Friday 07:00 - 14:30 - 35 hours per week

£24567 per annum

Please Note: Heavy lifting and long periods of standing are required as part of this role.

Job purpose

To accurately process incoming and outgoing cash consignments, adhering to the set customer deadlines and requirements, in a cost effective manner. Complying with all company procedures and policies, ensuring that Vaultex incur no loss and the customer is correctly credited for the cash deposited.

Main responsibilities

• Achieve required percentage of shift/team average performance notes per hour, errors, losses and service failures.
• Operation of High Speed Note Sorting machines and related equipment.
• Compliance with cash processing procedures.
• Identification of cash discrepancies and appropriate reporting to Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Process/prepare all allocated items as required by daily role including receipt and despatch.
• Amalgamation of cash counted to complete a daily balance.
• Ensure work is processed and reported to meet customer specific processing deadlines, checking that all paperwork/vouchers are present and correct.
• Accurately wrap, strap, band, pack and weigh all cash, by denomination and type.
• Other daily duties as delegated by the Leadership team.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to the secure waste procedures and Health and Safety standards.
• Potential long periods of standing/sitting including manual handling.
• Processing ATM cassettes for customer packing.
