Community InfoSource (CIS) is seeking a Caseworker to join our dedicated team, supporting asylum seekers and NewScots across Glasgow.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone compassionate, organised, and committed to social justice. The role involves providing one-to-one casework support to individuals navigating the asylum and immigration system or facing challenges related to employability, housing, access to services, welfare, or integration.
The Caseworker will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and other team members to ensure people receive accurate information, advocacy, and appropriate referrals.
The Caseworker will also liaise with external agencies and service providers to secure client support, maintain accurate and confidential records, and support people in their preferred community language where possible. The role requires someone comfortable managing a varied caseload and building trust with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. You will also contribute to CIS’s wider goals through collaborative working and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
We will guarantee an interview to anyone with lived experience of the asylum system who fulfills the essential criteria of the person specification, and we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for this position will be offered an interview.
This contract is subject to the successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
