We are currently recruiting for a Case Worker to join our Generic Housing Support Service with a main focus supporting people within Oxford City.
About the Service
Our Housing Team in Oxfordshire provide support to people who are in danger of losing their home. Our aim is to keep a roof over people’s heads. in the past 3 years we have supported 99% of our clients to avoid eviction.
The impact you will have
Working alongside clients you will provide information and support to help people sustain their tenancies. Support could include but not limited to accessing housing and benefits, managing rent arrears or other debts, accessing support for physical, mental health or substance misuse and support with other related issues that may impact on their ability to maintain their tenancy.
Contract: Permanent, subject to funding. Full or part time available, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £25,666 – £27,981 per annum, dependent on experience. (Pro rata for part time)

About you
You will have lived or professional experience in housing, or homelessness, and knowledge of the processes and application of accessing housing and benefits.
You are empathetic, caring and have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling. You understand that sometimes all people want is for someone to listen and are able to remain calm and patient if someone is experiencing difficulties.
Ideally, you will have a good understanding of support planning processes, and you will have an understanding of IT as you will be recording, monitoring, and updating outcomes, and writing case notes for your clients.
The role supports people primarily across Oxford City, but wider travel may be required on occasion, therefore a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
