Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking an experienced Caseworker to support women experiencing substance misuse and complex needs in Birmingham. The role offers trauma-informed, holistic support to improve wellbeing, stability and independence.

You will manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop individual plans and work with housing, benefits, healthcare and drug treatment services to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable women and people with multiple or complex needs.
• Experience providing trauma-informed support and casework.
• Experience managing a caseload, ideally around 15-30 clients.
• Knowledge of substance misuse, domestic abuse, offending, safeguarding and the criminal justice system.
• Strong communication, listening, organisational and IT skills.
• Experience working with multi-agency partners.
• A compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of women experiencing substance misuse and complex needs.

• Complete assessments, monitor progress and work towards positive outcomes.
• Support women with housing, benefits, healthcare, drug treatment, employment and other practical needs.
• Attend MARAC, safeguarding meetings, court appointments and other multi-agency meetings.
• Maintain accurate case records, referrals, interventions and outcome data.
• Build effective partnerships with substance misuse, prescribing and rehabilitation services.
• Provide support around self-harm, suicidal ideation, safety planning and other vulnerabilities.
• Signpost and refer women to appropriate specialist services.
