Job summary

Mondi Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Multi-Point Gluer Operator to set up, operate and optimise the BOBST Masterfold folder-gluer for high-quality, multi-point cartons in a fast-paced packaging environment.

You will configure the machine, manage changeovers, run at optimal speeds, perform quality checks and work with engineers on maintenance while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a BOBST Masterfold is not essential; training provided.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
• Familiarity with packaging materials.
• Must be flexible and able to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the BOBST Masterfold folder-gluer for multiple carton styles.
• Configure feeder, pre-breakers, folding sections, glue systems, and delivery.
• Adjust belts, carriers, hooks, and folding rails for accurate carton forming.
• Run the machine at optimal speeds while maintaining quality standards.
• Set and time back-fold hooks and servo systems for 4/6 corner cartons.
• Ensure correct folding sequences and glue application points.
• Troubleshoot misfolds, fish-tailing, or poor squaring.
• Record quality checks per procedures.
• Carry out efficient job changeovers to minimise downtime.
• Pre-set tooling and prepare materials ahead of runs.
• Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Identify wear on belts, nozzles, and folding components.
• Work with engineers on breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
• Operate in line with site safety policies and LOTO where required.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S).
