Point Professional Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Folder Gluer Operator for a permanent role in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire. You will own a key folding machine, work a rotating shift pattern, and contribute to a well-organised production environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on folder gluer experience, can set up independently, and maintains high quality while meeting production targets. Benefits are offered, with salary reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience operating a folder gluer machine in a packaging or print environment.
• Ability to set up and make-ready independently without close supervision
• Strong eye for quality and the ability to identify and resolve issues during a run
• Experience with Bobst or similar equipment is highly desirable
• Comfortable working rotating shifts and flexible around production demands
• Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on achieving production targets without compromising quality

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the folder gluer machine in line with job specifications
• Carry out make-ready and changeovers efficiently to minimise downtime between jobs
• Carry out visual quality checks throughout the production run, including checking fold accuracy, glue application, and finished carton integrity
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to maintain output quality and speed
• Complete line clearances between jobs and maintain accurate production records
• Support and guide assistant operators and packing staff during your shift
• Carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on the machine
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
