Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Ltd is seeking a Carpentry Technician in East London on a permanent, full-time basis. Salary ranges from £26,020 to £30,912 per year. The role involves supporting lecturers, helping learners develop carpentry skills, and maintaining workshops and equipment.

Experience in carpentry and strong communication are essential, with a focus on health and safety and the ability to motivate learners across levels. Teaching experience is not essential.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Are you an experienced Carpenter or Joiner looking for a role where you can use your industry skills to support the next generation of tradespeople?

The Role

As Carpentry Technician, you will:

• Support lecturers with the preparation and delivery of practical lessons.
• Assist learners across different levels to develop their carpentry skills.
• Maintain carpentry workshops, tools and equipment to a high standard.
• Support the safe and effective use of workshop facilities.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to learners during practical activities.
• Help ensure health and safety procedures are followed across the workshop.
• Support learners working towards further study, employment and apprenticeships.

What We're Looking For
