Job summary

West Suffolk College is seeking a Technical Demonstrator in Carpentry. You will deliver practical carpentry demonstrations, workshops and classroom activities, mentoring students and supporting staff to deliver high-quality construction education.

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Carpenter with hands-on industry experience, strong communication, and the ability to inspire learners across practical sessions and assessments.

Qualifications

Level 3 qualified Carpenter with hands-on industry experience.
Strong communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to support staff and students during demonstrations, workshops and classroom activities.

Responsibilities

Deliver practical demonstrations, workshops and classroom activities in carpentry.
Mentor and support staff and students, passing on carpentry skills.
Instruct learners in measuring, cutting, assembling and installing timber structures.
