Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting on behalf of a leading Further Education provider in Wolverhampton for a Carpentry Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis starting in September.

This role involves delivering Carpentry and Joinery teaching to learners, focusing on practical skills, safety, and industry readiness within a supportive FE environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Carpentry or a related discipline.
• Strong industry experience within the Carpentry and Joinery sector.
• Teaching or assessing experience is desirable; willingness to pursue a teaching qualification where applicable.

Carpentry Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an industry specialist or experienced lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and training to learners studying Carpentry and Joinery programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Carpentry lessons to learners.
• Support students in developing their practical skills, knowledge and industry awareness.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the ongoing success and development of the curriculum area.
• Relevant qualifications in Carpentry or a related discipline.
• Strong industry experience within the Carpentry and Joinery sector.
• Previous teaching, training or assessing experience is desirable.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Certificate in Education or equivalent is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one where applicable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
