Job summary

TR2 Recruitment Ltd seeks a Lecturer in Carpentry to deliver engaging theory and practical teaching for Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry learners in the Langley/Slough area. You will plan lessons, assess progress and provide pastoral support to help students progress and achieve.

The role requires a Level 2 carpentry qualification (or above), Level 2 English/Maths, and experience teaching in a vocational carpentry environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or above in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery.
• Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
• Experience teaching or training within a vocational carpentry or construction environment.
• Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and delivering an outstanding learner experience.
• A recognised teaching qualification (Level 4 or Level 5) and assessor qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry programmes.

Lecturer in Carpentry

Location: Langley/Slough, Berkshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £31,633 – £45,341 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Carpentry professional to join a leading further education provider in the Langley/Slough area as a Lecturer in Carpentry.

This rewarding role involves delivering engaging practical and theory-based teaching to students studying Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry, helping to develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople. You'll plan and deliver lessons, assess learner progress, provide academic and pastoral support, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.

The Role
