Job summary

Balance Education Limited is seeking a Carpentry & Joinery / PMO Trainer to support learners at our training centre and live construction sites in Lancashire. The role offers flexibility from 1 day per week up to full-time, with travel to learner sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will be trade-qualified with about 5+ years in the industry and some teaching or training experience. Those without teaching experience are still encouraged to apply, and the role can suit someone approaching

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified with around 5+ years' industry experience.
• Some teaching, training or assessing experience preferred.
• Open to candidates with no teaching experience, encouraged to apply.
• Option to reduce days or move into training progressively, including retirement-phase flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Carpentry & Joinery training and Maintenance Operations.
• Visiting and supporting learners on site.

Are you an experienced Carpenter or Joiner who'd like to use your experience without necessarily being on the tools five days a week? Or perhaps you're already teaching and looking for a role with more flexibility and variety.

We're working with a growing construction training provider looking for a Carpentry & Joinery / PMO Trainer to support learners across their training centre and live construction sites.

The interesting bit? They can consider anything from 1 day per week through to full-time.

The role is based primarily in Lancashire, with occasional travel into Manchester and to learner sites.

What will you be doing?

• Delivering C&J and Maintenance Operations training
• Visiting and supporting learners on site
• 1-to-1 learner sessions
• EPA preparation and support
• Pastoral support and helping learners progress

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll be trade-qualified with around 5+ years' industry experience and some previous teaching, training or assessing experience.

No teaching experience? We'd still like to hear from you.

If you're an experienced tradesperson who is serious about moving into training and passing your knowledge onto the next generation, you could be a very good fit.

This could also suit someone approaching retirement who wants to reduce their days without stepping away from construction altogether.
