You’ll monitor stores, stock control, and help set up demonstrations for timber-related practicals. This role requires a practical mindset and commitment to safety and quality learning.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role as part of a vocational team.
• Maintenance of equipment and practical facilities; day-to-day workshop upkeep.
• Stock control and stores monitoring in the department.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and annual maintenance to workshop facilities including all equipment.
• Monitor and assist students during practical activities.
• Set up demonstration resources and ensure they work; prepare equipment, tools, timber as needed.
• Clean and prepare training equipment and tools used by staff and students.
• Ensure efficient stocking, storing and distributing of consumables in the department.
• Inspect, maintain and promote safe use of safety equipment.
• Keep up-to-date in the subject area.
