Job summary

Keighley College is recruiting for a Teaching Facilitator in Carpentry and Joinery to join our Construction and Building Services department. This is a new role within the Construction and Building Services department.

You will support the Carpentry and Joinery team with technician tasks, as well as plan, teach, and assess learning within the department. Part of the role will require some administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in Carpentry and Joinery teaching or training.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans and assessment plans.
• Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills for progression.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support for successful outcomes.
• Promote restorative practice approaches in the learning environment.
