Job summary

Gumtree in Aylesbury is seeking a Carpentry Instructor to deliver practical Carpentry sessions and support learners in the workshop. No teaching experience is required as full teacher training is provided, with a clear path to a long-term career in education.

You will bring hands-on Carpentry experience and health and safety know-how to inspire the next generation. The role runs Monday to Friday with £27,000 salary plus comprehensive pension, 38 days holiday, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Industry experience within Carpentry or Joinery.
• Level 2 qualification or above in Carpentry or Joinery.
• Hands-on practical skills and good technical knowledge.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• No teaching experience required.
• Looking for a long-term career in education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical Carpentry instruction and workshop support.
• Assist lecturers in delivering engaging practical lessons.
• Supervise learners during workshop activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workshop facilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Full teacher training provided.
• Monday to Friday.
