Job summary

Newbury College and University Centre Newbury is seeking a Lecturer and Course Leader in Carpentry to deliver high-quality teaching across Carpentry Multitrades and Levels 2/3, including Level 2 Apprenticeships. You will lead the Carpentry provision, inspire learners, monitor progress and ensure a positive learning experience aligned with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching across Carpentry Multitrades, Level 2 and Level 3 programmes and Level 2 Apprenticeships.
• Lead and coordinate the Carpentry provision to maintain high teaching standards.
• Support and monitor learners throughout their programme and prepare them for the construction industry.
• Motivate and support learners to reach their potential while upholding health and safety standards.

Job description

As Lecturer and Course Leader in Carpentry, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging teaching across Carpentry Multitrades, Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, as well as Level 2 Apprenticeships. You will use your carpentry knowledge and industry experience to deliver both practical and theory-based learning, helping learners develop their technical skills, confidence and understanding of the trade. You will support and motivate learners throughout their programme, monitor their progress and help prepare them for their next steps within the construction industry. Alongside teaching, you will take responsibility for the leadership and coordination of the Carpentry provision, helping to maintain high standards and ensuring learners receive a positive and supportive learning experience.
