The successful candidate will have a Carpentry Level 3+, an assessor qualification (TAQA/CAVA/A1), and a Level 4 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Carpentry qualification Level 3 or above.
  • Recognised Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA or A1).
  • Level 4 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport for site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace assessments for Carpentry apprentices in line with apprenticeship standards.
  • Provide tailored support, feedback, and guidance to learners to support their progress.
  • Monitor and record learner achievements using digital platforms and e-portfolios.
  • Liaise with employers and training providers to coordinate assessment visits.
  • Ensure all assessments comply with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of learner progress and outcomes.
