Job summary

Freebridge Community Housing is seeking an experienced Carpenter to carry out maintenance and building tasks across our homes, delivering high standards of customer service.

You will work with woodwork, doors, kitchens, floors, windows, and general timber repairs, with focus on safety and compliance. City & Guilds carpentry qualification and at least 3 years in maintenance are required; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds trade qualification in carpentry.
• At least 3 years experience in a maintenance environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work on own initiative.
• Full valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry maintenance, repairs, and installation work in line with Freebridge standards and industry best practice, including doors, kitchens, flooring, fencing, windows, and general timber repairs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Diagnose faults, identify repair solutions, and complete work efficiently using your own initiative
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues regarding carpentry works, including explaining repairs, materials required, and completion timescales
• Work safely at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and safe working practices
• Manage carpentry jobs from inspection to completion, including measuring materials, ordering supplies, completing repairs, and maintaining records
• We are looking for someone who has... City & Guilds (or other recognised awarding body) trade qualification in carpentry
• At least 3 years experience in a maintenance environment
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work on own initiative
• Full valid UK driving licence
