Job summary

Blocktech MEP Ltd on behalf of their client is recruiting an NVQ Carpenter Multi-trader for a 1-month contract with potential to extend. The role involves maintenance across commercial properties and refurbishments including kitchens and bathrooms in London.

The candidate will work in a small team and alone, carrying out repairs and assisting with deliveries and other trades. Overtime is available; typical hours are 07:30 to 16:00.

Qualifications

• Own van and driving licence required.
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Good work ethic and professional manner.
• Able to converse professionally with clients and tenants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs on tenanted properties both in a team and solo.
• Fit new kitchens and appliances.
• Assist with deliveries, key collection and labour.
• Support other tradespersons, including tasks outside main trade.
• Assist client with commercial work on hospitals and colleges in London.

Job description

Blocktech MEP are looking on behalf of their client for an NVQ Carpenter Multi trader with for a 1-month contract with potential to extend.

The role will be to assist the company in maintenance activities across commercial properties. As well as maintenance repair work the company also carry out full refurbishments including new kitchens, new bathrooms, and general painting and decorating.

Although this is currently a contract, they are looking for someone to be part of the team and hopefully build longer term working relationships.

General Duties of the role:

• Carry out minor repairs on tenanted properties both within a small team and on your own.
• Fit new kitchens and appliances
• Assist with deliveries, key collection, and labour.
• Provide support to other tradespersons, occasionally outside main area of expertise.
• Assist the client with commercial work on Hospitals and colleges in London

Necessary requirements or attributes:

• Own Van or vehicle to travel to and from work locations.
• A full UK driving licence
• A minimum of a Labourer CSCS card or the willingness to take the half day to get one.
• The ability to pass a basic DBS check
• A good work ethic and the ability to work in a friendly professional manner.
• The ability to converse professionally with client and tenants when required.

In Return:

• 1 Month Contract (With extensions)
• 8-hour days with half hour lunch.
• Usual hours 07.30am to 16:00
• Overtime available
• 240 per day
