Job summary

PlumbLink Plumbing, Heating & Home Improvements seeks an experienced carpenter/joiner to support our home improvement workload in High Wycombe and surrounding areas. This is an ad hoc subcontracting role with work offered as needed, scope agreed per project and payment set per job.

Typical duties include first and second fix carpentry, door installation and timber framing within domestic properties, with projects ranging from small jobs to larger refurbishments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first and second fix carpentry in domestic properties.
• Install internal doors, frames, linings, architraves and skirting.
• Construct stud walls and timber framing; timber flooring repairs.
• Kitchen and bathroom carpentry tasks; worktop fitting.
• Make good after plumbing/HE installations.
• General refurbishment and home improvement work.
• Collaborate with other PlumbLink trades on projects.

About the Opportunity

PlumbLink is looking for an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to support our growing home improvement and refurbishment workload.

This is an ad hoc subcontracting opportunity suitable for an established carpenter looking for additional local work.

Projects will be offered as required, with the scope and price agreed before commencement.

The Work

Work may include both first fix and second fix carpentry across domestic properties.

Typical work may include:

• Internal door installation
• Door frames and linings
• Architraves
• Skirting boards
• Stud wall construction
• Timber framing
• Floorboards and timber flooring repairs
• Boxing in pipework
• Kitchen related carpentry
• Bathroom related carpentry
• Worktop fitting
• Shelving
• Storage solutions
• Timber repairs
• General first fix carpentry
• General second fix carpentry
• Making good following plumbing and heating installations
• General refurbishment and home improvement work

Projects may range from small individual jobs through to larger refurbishment projects working alongside other PlumbLink trades.

Payment

This is an ad hoc subcontracting position.

Payment will be agreed for each project according to the scope of work, expected duration and level of skill required.

This may be agreed as a fixed job price or labour rate depending on the project.

Working Area

Work will primarily be within High Wycombe and approximately a 10 to 15 mile radius, including Beaconsfield, Marlow, Amersham, Hazlemere, Holmer Green, Bourne End, Wooburn Green, Princes Risborough and surrounding locations.
