Job summary

Gilmartins in Swindon is recruiting Elite Operatives to join our expanding social housing repairs team. The role covers Carpenter Multi Trader duties with basic plumbing, electrics, plastering and tiling, delivering high-quality work across occupied properties.

We offer a £50,000 basic salary, permanent full-time employment, a company van with fuel card, PDA and branded uniform, plus long-term local work and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social housing reactive maintenance.
• Full manual driving licence – no automatic vans available.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Carpenter Multi Trader duties across Swindon and surrounding areas.
• Deliver high-quality work and professional customer service.
• Complete jobs right first time and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain van stock, tools and equipment; keep vehicles clean and presentable.
• Use PDAs and technology to record job progress and updates.
• Mentor and support other operatives where needed.

We are recruiting experienced, high-performing operatives across Swindon and surrounding areas travelling will be required in the following trade:

• Carpenter Multi Trader with basic plumbing & electrics, patch plastering and tiling skills.

£50,000 BASIC SALARY

Experience Required
