Job summary

Gilmartins is recruiting an Elite Operative – Carpenter Multi Trader to join a growing team.

This role covers High Wycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality reactive maintenance to social housing tenants. You will work with a directly employed team, using PDAs and company vehicles, with strong focus on safety, reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within social housing reactive maintenance.
• Full manual driving licence.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs to a high standard first time.
• Maintain health and safety compliance on site.
• Use PDAs for job updates and reporting.
• Work with tenants and office teams to coordinate work.
• Mentor and support other operatives as needed.

Gilmartins is expanding — and we are looking for the very best operatives in the industry to join us as an Elite Operative.

This is not just another trade role.

We are recruiting experienced, high-performing operatives across High Wycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough and surrounding areas - (must be willing to work in all areas) in the following trade:

• Carpenter Multi Trader with basic plumbing & electrics, patch plastering and tiling skills.

£50,000 BASIC SALARY

We are offering:

• £50,000 basic salary
• Permanent, full-time employment, monthly pay

• Keep van stock organised and controlled
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
• Follow all health & safety and asbestos procedures
• Use technology and PDAs correctly
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Take ownership of jobs from start to finish

Experience Required

Applicants must have:

• Proven experience within social housing reactive maintenance
• Relevant trade qualifications where applicable
• Full manual driving licence – no automatic vans available
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in occupied properties
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
