Job summary

ITS Building People is seeking a reliable 1st Fix Carpenter for a short-term project in Worthing, West Sussex. The role requires a valid CSCS card, own tools, and practical carpentry experience.

You should have own transport and be prepared to start on 27 October 2026 for four days. Daily rate is £200–£210, paid per day, with the opportunity to contribute to a commercial build while adhering to site safety rules.

Job description:

1st Fix Carpenter required for a commercial project. ITS Building people are looking for an experienced and hardworking 1st Fix Carpenter to assist our client with a project based in Worthing, West Sussex. Own transport required.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Carry Out 1st Fix Carpentry-construct & assemble roof structures, ensuring all timber is securely fixed
• Cut timber rafters to the required sizes.
• Work safely and efficiently on construction sites, following all health and safety requirements

Requirements for the role

• Own tools & transport
• Previous Carpentry experience
• Valid CSCS Card
• References upon request
• You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.

Training/Progression opportunities:

• There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management
